Salem Public Library is part of the Missouri Evergreen consortium. This means that we share resources with over 50 other libraries throughout the state. So, if there is something that you wish to read, watch, or listen to that is not part of Salem's collection, odds are that it can be borrowed from one of these other libraries. A request, or hold, may be placed for that item. It is then delivered to Salem Public Library via courier at no cost to you. You may be called, texted, or emailed when the item is available for circulation.

Materials may also be requested for interlibrary loan through the American Library Association. There may be a charge for postage of $5.00 if materials borrowed through the ALA cannot be delivered through the courier.
