Unearth a Story about Dinosaurs!

Children in kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to join us at the library for a summer reading program event focused dinosaurs! There will be stomping-good stories and awesome activities for T. rex-sized fun! This program will be held in the library's north basement meeting room at 1:00 PM on July 7th. It is free! No library card is necessary.

Unearth a Story with Origami

Come by and practice your paper folding skills in our conference meeting room! Origami books and supplies will be provided for this self-guided activity. All you need to bring is your creativity. For this year's summer reading program, the origami theme will be dinosaurs. This program is appropriate for all ages! There is no fee or library card required to participate.

Recollections

Recollections is a revival of the library's older adult program, an opportunity to gather and share memories on a central theme. While anyone is welcome, content is designed for those who are at least 60 years of age. Programs will be held in the library's downstairs meeting room at 10:30 AM on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Please use the outside ramp or stairs on the north side of the building. Library membership is not required and there is no fee for participation.

Our guest presenters will be from the Ozark Rivers Solid Waste Management District. This program will be held in the library's north basement meeting room at 1:00 PM on July 14th. It is free! No library card is necessary.

Calling all book lovers! Come Join us in the meeting room at 1 PM for the next meeting of our monthly book club. Not sure how to participate? Feel free to ask a librarian at the circulation desk or call 573-729-4331. There is NO library card or fee required! All we ask if you bring some title recommendations for future reads.

Our guest presenter will be Nick Dennis, a geologist from Doe Run who has mountains of knowledge about super-cool things found in the ground right under our feet! This program will be held in the library's north basement meeting room at 1:00 PM on July 21st. It is free! No library card is necessary.

Join Mike Snyder of WildWise Botanicals, author of the forthcoming Foraging Mushrooms of the Ozarks, for an engaging presentation about the edible wild mushrooms of the region!

Our guest presenter will be Lester Lakey, an archaeologist who has explored places and things from the past throughout Mark Twain National Forest. This program will be held in the library's north basement meeting room at 1:30 PM on July 28th. It is free! No library card is necessary.
